We invite you to join us and travel on
horseback through the Shoshone National Forest. Experience the thrill of adventure as you enter a remote area where
the fishing is great, and the scenery is fantastic!
A typical pack trip is 4 or 5 days long. The first day we meet at the trail head.
We pack up the gear, and start up the trail. This sounds simple, but a lot goes into it! A typical 4 day trip
for 4 clients and help ususlly requires 12 to 16 horses.
Once we're loaded up, we
head up the trail. Depending on where we're headed, we'll travel from 10 to 15 miles into the wilderness.
At our destination, we'll unsaddle horses and set up camp. In the summer the days are long, so you might
get in some fishing, or just take it easy.
The next day is an easy day. Some
people like to sleep late, others are up and ready to go. We usually have the coffee hot by 7am. This is a day
to fish, hike, or take a horseback ride, and see if we can find a bear or something. The next day we usually take a
good long ride. The fishermen usually just keep on fishing. These trips are very flexible. I've found
that no two trips are ever the same. We change them depending on what you want to do. Some people want to fish,
some want to take lots of pictures, and some just come to ride horses. It's up to you!
The last day is the ride back to the trail head. We'll get up, eat breakfast, and
while you gather your gear, we'll gather the horses and saddle up. Once we're all loaded, we head down the trail.
Remember, you can see a little from your car,.......or a lot from a horse!
